A Distributed Framework for Intense Ramping Management in Distribution Networks

High-penetration of renewable energy sources (RESs) in power networks has resulted new operational challenges the system. Accordingly, due to uncertainty as well variability power-outputs RESs, flexibility ramping capacity system should be improved. operators would rely on local responsive resources (LRSs) distribution (DNs) guarantee demand-supply balance each area and minimize its associated requirements. Nevertheless, introduction multi-microgrid (multi-MG) structures limit direct-access over LRSs scheduling. As a result, this paper aims develop novel framework for intense-ramping management multi-MG systems settle gap while addressing distributed nature network. Respectively, alternating direction method multipliers (ADMM) is employed decentralized coordination scheme Moreover, transactive control signals are utilized context ADMM-algorithm order exploit scheduling address constraints overall Lastly, simulated 37-bus 123-bus DNs analyze efficacy intense conditions DNs.
